Description
There are grooves on the bottom of the cup and on the stem, which make it easier to remove the cup. The package also includes a pink sterilization cup that can be used to easily sterilize the menstrual cup in the microwave.
The smaller menstrual cup is suitable for:
- Women and girls under 25
- Women and girls who have not yet given birth naturally
- Women with light to normal heavy menses
A larger menstrual cup is suitable for:
- Suitable for women after childbirth
- Women with normal to heavy menses
How to use the cup:
- It's best to try inserting the cup before your period starts to find the optimal spot. If you are unsure of the correct insertion, use a panty towel to be sure
- It is best to insert the cup while squatting. If you're inserting it before your period starts, it's a good idea to moisten the cup. Insertion outside of menstruation is much more difficult because the vaginal mucosa is not as well supplied with blood.
- Hold the cup between your thumb and forefinger and insert it into your vagina. No need to apply any pressure. When the cup is completely inside the vagina, you can release and it will open completely. Inserting it is no more difficult than inserting a tampon, so you don't have to worry about anything
- To make sure you have inserted the cup correctly, grab the rod and try to lift it a little. If it fails, the installation was correct and the necessary negative pressure was created. If it came off easily, it probably didn't expand properly
- When removing, cancel the vacuum created by pressing the bottom of the cup. The cup can then be removed without any problems
- Remove the cup after about the same time as the tampon. If you are inexperienced, we recommend emptying after about 4 hours. You will soon find that you can leave it on longer. Empty it after 12 hours at the latest. You can also leave the cup overnight
- If you have a heavy period, the cup may leak in the first few days. In this case, use an insert as a supplement
- .
How to care for the cup:
- The cup must be sterilized before menstruation. It is best to let the cup boil in boiling water for about 5 minutes. We recommend adding a teaspoon of Gaia Magic Touch powder to the water
- .When emptying during menstruation, simply wash the cup with cold water and reinsert it. We recommend that you carry a bottle of water with you in public toilets
- The cup can change color over time, just like a baby's pacifier. It doesn't mean it's dirty
- .Using the cup is completely odorless. The unpleasant smell of menstrual blood is released only after contact with a tampon or tampon soaked in various deodorants
What is a cork stopper good for?
- The stopper is actually a sort of safety device if you fail to remove the cup. This usually happens at the beginning when you are just getting to know the glass and haven't practiced lifting it yet. Fear can also play a role, preventing you from relaxing and removing the cup easily. Don't be afraid of anything! Practice makes perfect and that applies here as well
- Once you start using the cup repeatedly, you'll find that the stopper bothers you or you don't need it at all. So you can shorten it to a length that suits you or cut it off completely. Be careful not to damage the glass
- Remember that the best way to remove the cup is to squeeze the bottom of the cup to release the vacuum.
