Description
Game, Paper City, +4 years, Ludattica
Paper blocks are constructions made entirely of paper. You can build a colorful city with them in an imaginative way by overlapping and placing different pieces next to each other.
Characteristics:
- There are 180 pieces of heavy duty paper in the set. By mounting the pieces on top of each other or next to each other, you can make blocks of different shapes: cylinders and small rectangular or triangular prisms.
- Paper pieces that do not have slits can be used to create city roads or squares. They can also be used to support the creation of multi-storey buildings. Once the blocks have been assembled, they can be easily stored in their box.
- It's a pop-up box: opening it and attaching the handle turns it into a toy basket.
- Shapes: cylinder, triangular and rectangular prisms, 180 pieces strong
- Educational value: Trains fine motor skills, trains creativity, stimulates problem solving, develops logical and mathematical thinking, can help improve concentration
2 game modes:
- My Paper Town: The first way to play involves free building without a blueprint.
Blocks can be positioned vertically or horizontally, placed next to each other or on top of each other to create tall buildings. In this case, it is important to use the flat pieces between one level and the next.
Get ready for the challenge! This game mode starts with a challenge between two players or teams.
When setting up the challenge, choose an object (a remote control, a shoe, a pencil case or a book, for example).
In turn, players build a level and, after placing the flat piece on top of that level, test the stability of the building by placing the object on top.
If the building supports the weight and shape of the object, the challenge continues and the next player or team takes their turn.
They must carefully remove the object and continue building. Whoever causes the building to collapse loses the challenge! - Engineering: Designing different paper block constructions requires different construction methods and different characteristics from a stability perspective.
This type of experience, which is fun in itself, has important educational value: it gives kids options and allows them to make their own assessments of construction engineering, both in individual play and in challenge mode.
In addition, the game exercises manual dexterity and creativity, stimulates problem-solving skills, as well as concentration, attention and mathematical logic skills.
Essentially, it develops all those skills related to STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
