Shiitake - The Emperor's Mushroom is a mushroom native to Japan. It is often seen as just… food, being very popular in Asian cuisine. What is less known is the fact that, in certain phases of growth, they synthesize some very bitter substances, called beta-glucans, with special physiological effects. And studies in recent decades have demonstrated that these beta-glucans, from Shiitake, could activate and modulate the action of immunity in proliferative conditions. They are also being researched in relation to keeping mutated cells under control. It also acts on pathogenic bacteria that endanger health.
