Chanel No. 5 is the most famous perfume in the world, created in 1921. Coco Chanel then asked the great perfumer, Ernest Beaux, to create a new, captivating fragrance for women to match the image of the company she had created . The designer offered Coco several perfumes to choose from, one of the samples she liked the most, marked with the number 5 - it was decided not to change the name. In 1986, Jacques Polge reinterpreted the composition of his predecessor Ernest Beaux to create a fuller and voluminous version of an all-time feminine fragrance: Eau de Parfum.

At the time of its premiere, No.5 was a revolutionary perfume - while all previous ones focused on the smell of a single type of flower, the principle was changed and a rich bouquet of perfume was created - rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang from the Komoro islands were combined with synthetically obtained aldehydes, which strengthened and highlighted the flowers.
