Description:
Absorbs, protects, and securely locks in exudate. Biatain Superabsorber non-adherent dressing is a soft and highly absorbent dressing. It can absorb large amounts of exudate, even under compression. It can absorb more than 15 times its own weight. Effective exudate management is crucial for highly exuding wounds to prevent complications.

It supports you in the treatment of highly exuding wounds. Here's how:

• With a gentle wound contact layer, it protects wound edges and the skin surrounding the wound from maceration.
• The bandage is easy to use** and designed for residue-free removal.

Intended purpose:
The product is intended for moist wound healing and exudate management.

The product is intended for use by medical professionals and patients under the supervision of medical professionals.

Indications:
The product is indicated for a wide range of moderately to highly exuding wounds in patients weighing 3.5 kg and above. These include, among others, acute wounds such as second-degree burns, postoperative wounds, traumatic wounds, and chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, and non-infectious diabetic foot syndrome.

Precautions:
This disposable product is intended for single use only. Do not reuse, as cross-contamination may occur, potentially leading to infection.

Reprocessing, cleaning, disinfection and/or resterilization can impair product characteristics, potentially creating an additional risk of physical harm or infection to the user.

Diabetic wounds, infected wounds, and wounds caused wholly or partially by arterial insufficiency should be regularly checked and treated by a doctor or a trained professional in accordance with the relevant guidelines.

Do not cut the product, as this may lead to wound deterioration due to product residue remaining in the wound.

Do not use if the packaging is damaged, as the sterility of the product may be compromised, which could lead to infection.

The product is manufactured without natural rubber latex; however, in rare cases, contamination with traces of natural rubber latex may occur during the manufacturing or packaging process. This can trigger allergic reactions in patients with a known or suspected allergy to natural rubber latex.

Possible side effects associated with the use of wound dressings may include: skin irritation/inflammation, allergic skin reaction, maceration, pain, hypergranulation and blistering.

Storage conditions:
Protect from sunlight and heat.

Instructions for use:

Preparation:
Clean the wound and surrounding skin according to current guidelines, e.g., with Ringer's solution, physiological saline solution, or sterile water. Gently dry the surrounding skin. If a film, cream, ointment, or similar product is to be used, allow the surrounding skin to dry completely before applying the product.

Application:
When applying the dressing, aseptic technique must be used. Select a product size where the superabsorbent layer overlaps the wound edge by approximately 1 to 2 centimeters. Open the pouch and remove the product from the packaging. Do not touch the wound contact layer during application. Place the white side on the wound with the gray side facing away from the wound.

A secondary dressing is necessary for fixation. Do not cover the entire product with an occlusive secondary dressing.
