Description
Vitamin B6 Teva is a medicine containing vitamin B6 (pyrodoxine), which, when converted to its active form, pyrodoxal phosphate, participates in many metabolic transformations of carbohydrates, proteins and fats.
Vitamin B6 Teva - indications
- vitamin B6 deficiency states,
- diseases and conditions that require the administration of pyridoxine,
- peripheral polyneuropathy (a syndrome characterized by decreased sensation and muscle strength in several nerves),
- prevention of peripheral neuropathy during treatment with isoniazid,
- the use of oral contraceptives,
- malabsorption syndromes, for example in liver diseases caused by alcoholism,
- sunburns and changes in skin pigmentation after burns (preventive),
- inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes of the oral cavity (including mouth ulcers - acrodynia) and inflammation of the tongue,
- exfoliative erythroderma (erythematous changes and peeling of the skin), seborrhea,
- periodontopathies (periodontal diseases),
- congenital metabolic disorders,
- poisoning with isoniazid and cycloserine.
The daily requirement of vitamin B6 in an adult is about 2 mg/day. The demand for vitamin B6 increases in women during pregnancy and lactation and in people who abuse alcohol.
Each tablet contains 50 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride. The recommended daily dose is: for adults 3-6 tablets per day, for children 0.5-3 tablets per day
