Visine ® Comfort 0.5 mg/ml are eye drops in the form of a clear, colorless or slightly yellow solution, enclosed in a 15 ml bottle, equipped with a dropper and closure for children. The preparation belongs to a group of drugs used in ophthalmology to reduce congestion.
Visine ® Comfort temporarily relieves eye congestion in non-infectious eye irritations caused by smoke, dust, light, chlorinated water or allergic conjunctivitis. The medicine can be used in adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age. The use of the medicine in children aged 2-6 years must be preceded by the consultation of the medical staff.
How does Visine ® Comfort work?
Visine ® Comfort relieves eye redness and irritation. Its active substance is tetrizoline hydrochloride, which belongs to the group of imidazoline decongestants. When applied topically to the conjunctival mucosa, it has a temporary constricting effect on small blood vessels. This reduces vasodilation and conjunctival swelling.
Visine ® Comfort should be used for the shortest period of time necessary to relieve symptoms - no more than 5 consecutive days. If symptoms do not improve or worsen within 48 hours, consult your doctor and discontinue use.
