Properties:

- indicated in the treatment of most forms of constipation;
- for emptying and preparing the intestine for examination and/or preoperatively or in other situations where these are required;
- as an adjuvant in conditions in which the effort and pain associated with defecation must be avoided;

Action:
Senosides (active principles):

- increase the motility of the large intestine, acting directly on the colon mucosa;
- inhibits the reabsorption of water and electrolytes (Na+, Cl-) in colonic epithelial cells;
- stimulates the intraluminal secretion of water and electrolytes, with the acceleration of transit at the bends and junctions of the large intestine;
- regulates intestinal transit approximately 6-8 hours after oral administration (elimination of 1-2 soft or semi-liquid stools).

Benefits:

- stimulant laxatives are considered to be more effective than other types of laxatives;
- indicated in all forms of constipation: acute, chronic, primary (idiopathic), functional, habitual, secondary to certain ailments in the digestive sphere, induced by drugs (based on iron, calcium in large doses, opioids, narcotics), following immobilization at bed;
- in large doses, as indicated by the specialist health consultant, it can also be used as a purgative for emptying and preparing the intestine in the case of radiological and/or preoperative examination, acute constipation, poisoning and the administration of anthelmintics (when the elimination of intestinal worms must be hastened) ;
- natural product (dry senna fruit extract) with a long history of use for medicinal purposes;
- because it acts at the level of the colon, it does not influence the processes of digestion and absorption of nutrients that take place at the level of the small intestine;
- easy administration in the evening - unlike suppositories, enemas.

Way of ussage:
Adults, elderly, adolescents over 12 years:
1-2 cpr. / day with liquids, preferably in the evening at bedtime, to obtain a soft / semi-liquid stool during the next morning.
The duration of administration in self-medication is recommended to be a maximum of 14 days to avoid the risk of addiction, the treatment can be resumed after a break of 1-2 weeks.

Ingredients:
Dry extract from Senna fruits (Cassia acutifolia) standardized to a minimum of 20% senosides (equivalent to 20 mg senosides B).

Use during pregnancy and lactation under the advice of a specialist health consultant.
