After administration, Tasectan passes through the acidic environment of the stomach in an unchanged form. In the alkaline environment of the intestine, it binds to the mucus of the mucous membrane, creating a protective film on the wall of the intestine. The size of these pores is larger than the size of the molecules of other simultaneously administered drugs, therefore gelatin tannate does not prevent the absorption of these drugs from the intestine into the blood. At the same time, the pores are smaller than the molecules of viruses or bacterial enterotoxins, which cannot penetrate the cells of the intestine through the gelatin tannate.

Mechanism of action

Diarrhea is the body's reaction to inflammation in the gut. Inflammatory substances contain proteins in their structure. Gelatin tannate neutralizes inflammation by binding to these proteins, precipitates them, changes the structure of inflammatory substances and removes them from the body through stool excretion. At the same time, it restores the physiological function of the intestinal wall.
