Description
Syphilis rapid test, Veneris, 1 piece, Biotech USA
The Veneris test quickly detects, by analyzing a drop of blood, the presence of Treponema pallidum antibodies, the causative agent of the sexually transmitted infection Syphilis.
Self-test kit:
Test cassette, plastic pipette, vial of buffer solution, sterile lancet, instructions for use.
Accuracy of 98.2%.
Result in 15 minutes.
Way of ussage:
- Wash your hands with soap and clean water.
- Tear off the protective film (from the mark) and remove only the device and pipette. remove the desiccant bag.
- Push the orange needle all the way inside the chain until you hear a "click" indicating that the device is activated.
- Remove the orange cap by turning it to the right or left.
- Wipe the index or middle finger with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol. Massage your fingertip to stimulate blood circulation.
- Press the end of the lanyard firmly against the side of the finger that is cleaned with alcohol to get the best possible contact.
- The tip retracts automatically and safely after use. Massage the tip of the finger that was stung to get a drop of blood.
- Without pressing the tip of the finger, place the plastic pipette in contact with the drop of blood. Blood will migrate inside the pipette by capillarity to the line indicated on the pipette.
- You can massage your finger again to get more blood if the line is not reached. Avoid air bubbles as much as possible.
- Put the blood collected with the pipette into the hole of the test device by pressing the end of the pipette. Wait for the blood to completely enter the test hole
- Unscrew the blue cap of the dropper bottle (leave the white cap tightly closed). Hold the dropper bottle upright and slowly add exactly 4 drops into the test device hole with 2-3 second intervals between drops.
- Read the result after 10 minutes. No later than 15 minutes.
- If the reading time exceeds 15 minutes, the result will not be correct. The color intensity of the line is of no importance for the interpretation of the result.
Positive result:
Two colored lines appear in the window below the T (Test) and C (Control) signs. The color intensity of the T line may be lighter than the intensity of the C line. This result means that the blood sample contains anti-TP antibodies and you should consult a doctor.
Negative result:
Only a colored line appears under the C (Control) sign. This result means that no anti-TP antibodies are detected in the blood sample.
Invalid result:
No line appears or a colored line appears under the T (Test) mark without a line under the C (Control) mark. In this case, it is not possible to interpret the test, which must be considered invalid. Repeat testing with another Veneris test is recommended.
Precautions:
- This test is for in vitro diagnostic use only.
- For external use only.
- Read the instructions carefully before taking the test. The test is only reliable if the instructions are followed carefully. Follow the indicated number of drops and reading time.
