Description
Solpadeine, 12 tablets
Read the leaflet carefully and completely before you start using this medicine, because it contains important information for you.
Always use this medicine as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Indications:
Solpadeine effervescent tablets are recommended for the rapid relief of pain that occurs in rheumatism, sciatica and lumbago. They are also recommended for the treatment of headaches, migraines, menstrual pains, dislocations, toothaches, neuralgia, sinusitis, sore throats and fevers, as well as for relieving the symptoms of colds and flu.
Composition:
Each effervescent tablet contains paracetamol 500 mg, codeine phosphate hemihydrate 8 mg and caffeine 30 mg.
Administration method:
Solpadeine tablets dissolve in water.
Adults: Take 2 tablets dissolved in a glass of water, 1-4 times a day, if necessary. Administration will not be repeated at an interval of less than 4 hours or 4 doses (8 tablets) will not be exceeded in 24 hours.
Children (7-12 years): 1/2 tablet to 1 tablet, dissolved in a glass of water, 1-4 times a day. The administration will not be repeated at an interval of less than 4 hours. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours. Not recommended for children under 7 years of age.
Children should not be given Solpadeine for more than 3 days without the doctor's advice. If symptoms persist, see your doctor. Do not exceed the established dose. if you exceed the recommended dose, consult your doctor immediately, even if you do not feel ill.
Contraindications:
Do not use Solpadeine:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to paracetamol, caffeine, codeine, to other opioid analgesics or to any of the other components of this medicine;
- in children under the age of 12,

Before using Solpadeine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Task:
Epidemiological studies carried out in pregnant women have not revealed toxic effects of paracetamol at the recommended doses, however, codeine is not recommended during pregnancy. Solpadeine is therefore not recommended during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding:
Paracetamol and caffeine are excreted in breast milk, but not in clinically significant amounts.
Do not take codeine while breastfeeding. Codeine and morphine pass into breast milk.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
Solpadeine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. You should not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.
