Description and determination

The medicine contains 2 active substances: benzidaminium chloride and cetylpyridinium chloride. The drug is anti-inflammatory, relieves pain when used locally in the mouth and destroys bacteria, yeasts and viruses with an antiseptic effect. It disinfects the mouth and throat and reduces the symptoms of throat inflammation such as pain, redness, swelling, warmth and dysfunction.

It is used to treat:

• irritated throat, mouth and gums,
• inflammation of the gums (gingivitis) and pharynx (pharyngitis).

Use

Dosage and dosage regimens

Children aged between 6-12 years: The recommended dose is 3 pills per day every 3-6 hours. Adults and children over 12 years of age: The recommended dose is 3-4 pills per day every 3-6 hours. The medicine can be taken for a maximum of 7 days.

Mode of use

The tablets should be allowed to dissolve slowly in the mouth, not bitten or chewed. They should not be swallowed. Do not eat or drink before and after application. To achieve an optimal effect, it is not recommended to take the medicine immediately before or after brushing your teeth. The tablets should not be taken with milk, as milk reduces the antimicrobial effectiveness of cetylpyridinium chloride.

• The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy.
• The drug can be used during breastfeeding if the benefit of the treatment outweighs the potential risk to the child.
• The medicine is contraindicated for children under 6 years of age.
• In patients with bronchial asthma or a history of bronchial asthma, the drug may cause bronchospasm.
• Photosensitivity reactions have occurred rarely.
• The medicine contains isomalt, sodium benzoate.
