Rice powder was used by geishas to whiten and mattify the skin, but also to mask skin imperfections. Micronized rice powder is a very fine powder obtained from the whole grain of dehulled rice, which differs from rice flour for food use, which is only ground, has a larger grain and is abrasive to the skin.
Micronized rice powder is used as such, as a base or as a cosmetic ingredient, appreciated for its ability to improve the texture of compositions, as an absorbent of sebum and moisture, and as a mattifying agent.
Composition:
Wholemeal rice from organic crops, mechanically ground and micronized.
Properties:
- mattifying and absorbent;
- texturizing and thickening agent for cosmetic compositions;
- base for powder makeup compositions, for loose or compact powders;
- gives the pile a smooth, silky, velvety appearance;
- insoluble in water and oils, can be dispersed in dry, aqueous or oily media.
How to use – Cosmetics:
- it is a product that can be applied to the skin as such, especially useful for mixed/oily skin or with imperfections;
- as a base for face powders and perfumed body powders;
- as an ingredient for the preparation of creams, foundation, loose or compact eyeshadows, blush;
- it can also be included in the formula of deodorants;
- as a base or as an ingredient for the preparation of dry shampoos, especially suitable for oily hair and scalp;
- indicative dosage: in creams, balms, lotions, foundation 1-20%, in powders, blush, eyeshadows, dry shampoo or deodorants 5-95%.
