Quixx nasal spray, 30 ml, Pharmaster

• Quixx is a hypertonic nasal spray based on sea water
• Quixx contains natural sea water, dissolved with distilled water up to a concentration of 2.6%
• Quixx contains precious minerals and trace elements from the water of the Atlantic Ocean

The triple action of "Quixx".
Quixx is used to relieve nasal congestion and paranasal sinuses. It has the following properties:

Eliminate congestion:
Removes edema of the nose and paranasal sinuses in colds, flu and allergies

• Cleansing: actively cleans the nasal passages
• Hydration: soothes the nasal mucosa
• Removal of congestion in a natural way due to the osmotic effect

In rhinitis, the mucous membrane of the nose swells, which leads to congestion, the normal function of the nose is disturbed, breathing becomes difficult and the risk of developing secondary infection increases.
Hypertonic saline solutions, for example "Quixx", remove mucosal edema through osmotic action and eliminate congestion.

Since the action of "Quixx" is natural (physical mechanism) and local, there are no systemic adverse reactions.
Patient groups

Quixx" can be administered:
– patients of all age groups, including infants older than six months (manufacturer's recommendation)
- to pregnant and lactating women
– over a long period of time (without limitations)
Quixx cannot be administered:
- if hypersensitivity to sea water is present

Administration method:
Infants and children: 1-2 sprays in the nasal passages 2-3 times a day.
Adults: 1-3 sprays in the nasal passages 2-3 times a day.

Due to the high concentration of salt, a slight burning sensation is possible at the beginning of administration.
Quixx's pump system

The bottle of "Quixx" is endowed with a validated antibacterial filter, incorporated in the pump system, and also with an automatic obstruction mechanism of the distal end, as follows:
- the access of microorganisms in the air is excluded
- there is no contamination during the entire period of use and storage (up to six months after the first use)

Thus, this allows that no preservatives are added to "Quixx".
