- It is a moisturizing agent found in countless cosmetic products for skin and hair care and hygiene. Facilitates the retention of water in the skin tissue, is emollient and velvety, protects the hair from dehydration.
- Glycerin can be included in all types of skin and hair care products, in creams, lotions, toners, soaps, toothpaste, shampoos and shower gels. It is easy to work with this ingredient, not being sensitive to heating. Glycerin is not foreign to the human body and thus does not cause irritation or allergies.
- Glycerin is a good vegetable solvent for various substances, being used in gemotherapy, phytotherapy and homeopathy to extract the active principles. You can also prepare herbal macerations at home with glycerin.
- Humectants, like glycerin, are hygroscopic ingredients that attract water from the atmosphere to the skin. In particular, glycerin is a substance for the skin, this means that after washing it does not leave the surface of the skin, thus being very useful in hygiene products.
