Effects
- Folic acid has an irreplaceable function in the body in the metabolism of amino acids and nucleic acids , which carry hereditary information. Therefore, folic acid is essential for cell division. - Vitamin B12 is closely related to folic acid metabolism. Like folic acid, vitamin B12 is involved in cell division and contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells.
- Vitamin B12 and folic acid together contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system and to the reduction of exhaustion and fatigue , which is especially important during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
