- The coconut tree can reach a height of 30 meters, reach up to 80 years and can produce up to 150 coconuts per year. It is a prized plant and enjoys multiple uses: adjuvant for various ailments, a source for healthy food and drink, up to the manufacture of baskets, a roof for huts and, last but not least, natural sugar extracted from the sap of coconut flowers.
- Filipinos are the biggest consumers of coconut and have a very varied range of products such as: bukayo (sweetened coconut), pan de coco (coconut bread), tuba (coconut wine), suka (coconut vinegar), lambanog (coconut gin), desiccated coconut, coconut water, coconut milk and coconut oil.

- Virgin coconut oil is one of the most appreciated oils due to its multiple properties, which is also obtained from the kernel of the coconut, but by cold pressing in order not to lose its qualities.
- Virgin coconut oil can be used both internally and externally. Internally, it has an immunostimulating effect, helps to assimilate nutrients from food, has an antiparasitic role, and you can consume two tablespoons of oil a day. Externally, it can be applied to the skin against stretch marks, it contains a UV filter, thanks to its antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties, it is helpful in the case of nail fungus, various dermatological conditions (eczema, skin inflammation, etc.) and thanks to its vitamin C content, it has antioxidant effect and is at the same time the source of vitamin E. Applied before exposure to the sun, it helps to obtain an even tan.
The cosmetics industry uses virgin coconut oil in the preparation of toothpaste, because it reduces the occurrence of dental caries, thanks to the enzymes that destroy harmful bacteria in the oral cavity. In India, the cosmetics industry uses virgin coconut oil as a valuable ingredient to nourish and give shine to the hair. Following the research done in India, it was concluded that virgin coconut oil is absorbed into the hair strand, nourishing it from the inside, and thanks to the lauric acid it contains, it has an important role in the regeneration of damaged hair, in combating its fall and confers a more vitality to the hair.

- Daily 1 - 2 teaspoons.
- Virgin coconut oil, cold pressed.
- It does not contain cholesterol, thanks to the high content of lauric acid, it has an antioxidant effect.
- Coconut oil is ideal for skin and hair care regardless of age. It can be used for massage, it is easily absorbed into the skin.
- Heating is not recommended.
- Coconut oil solidifies below 25 o C, below this temperature it turns white.
