N-acetyl tyrosine is an acetylated derivative of the amino acid L-tyrosine. Acetylation increases the solubility and stability of certain amino acids.
N-Acetyltyrosine supports brain functions by supporting the synthesis of catecholamines, norepinephrine and dopamine (neurotransmitters).* Jarrow Formulas N-Acetyltyrosine also contains vitamin B6, which is necessary for amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis.*
