Properties:

Composition:
The upper part of the plant Achillea millefolium L., fam. Asteraceae, containing volatile oil, bitter principles, flavonoids, alkaloids, sterols, tannin, choline, vitamin K.
Effect:
Antiseptic, choleretic-cholagogue (stimulates the secretion and elimination of bile), antispasmodic, astringent; anti-inflammatory; cicatrizing, hemostatic.
Main uses:
Biliary dyskinesia, dyspepsia, gastritis, enterocolitis, abdominal flatulence.
Other uses:
Internal use: loss of appetite, dysmenorrhea, cystitis, nosebleeds, pharyngitis.
External use: hemorrhoids, burns, eczema, irritated skin.
Contraindications:
The recommended doses are not known.
Preparation:
Prepare an infusion of 1-2 teaspoons of the plant per cup of water.
Administration method:
