Strep A'lert ® is a rapid immunodiagnostic test, specific for the detection of group A streptococcus ( Streptococcus pyogenes ) in throat infections. The self-monitoring medical device helps determine whether a sore throat is caused by Strep A or other pathogens (usually viruses) that do not require antibiotic treatment.
When should you take the Strep A'lert ® LabHome test?
Purulent pain in the throat is often confused with pharyngitis. This is a serious problem because both infections are treated differently. Proper therapy can help you heal angina pectoris quickly. The LabHome Strep A'Lert ® test allows you to detect angina pectoris caused by the bacteria Streptococcus pyogenes (group A streptococci). The test is also used to detect scarlet fever in children (a rash with fine granules).
Strep throat can be suggested by symptoms such as a congested throat lining, white coating on the tonsils, lack of typical symptoms of a viral infection (runny nose, cough) or general weakness. The test allows you to get the result after only 10 minutes without having to leave the house.
