Non-prescription medicine. Ibuprofen relieves pain and inflammation of various origins . Ibuprofen also suppresses fever , which accompanies e.g. diseases from colds.

- Ibalgin 200 is also used for febrile conditions in influenza diseases and as an additional treatment for febrile conditions in other diseases.
- In the case of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the joints and spine (arthritis and arthrosis) or of the soft tissues of the locomotor system, accompanied by pain, redness, swelling and joint stiffness, the drug is used only on the recommendation of the doctor.
- Intended for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age (from 40 kg body weight).
Dosage:
- For pain and febrile illness: Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age, usually 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day, either once or as needed (maximum 3 film-coated tablets per day) at least 4 hours apart . If pain or fever during treatment with Ibalgin 200 does not decrease or worsens after 3-5 days, consult a doctor about the next procedure. Do not take the medicine for more than 7 days without the doctor's consent.
- In the treatment of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the joints and spine or extra-articular rheumatism: On the recommendation of the doctor, who also determines the dose. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age usually take 1-2 film-coated tablets of Ibalgin 200 3 times a day. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. You can support the effect of the tablets by applying a cream or gel containing ibuprofen to the affected area (eg joints, muscles, tendons and back). Filmed tablets are swallowed whole, washed down with a sufficient amount of liquid. If digestive problems occur during treatment, take the medicine with a meal or drink it with milk.
Contraindications
Do not use Ibalgin 200 if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ibuprofen (an active ingredient in Ibalgin 200) or any auxiliary substance of the drug and if you are hypersensitive to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, manifested in bronchial form, if you have an ulcer active or recurrent or bleeding in the stomach or duodenum, bleeding in the digestive tract or perforation caused by NSAIDs in the past, if you suffer from a blood formation disorder or a blood clotting disorder and if you have severe heart failure. The drug should not be used by women in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Secondary symptoms:
The following side effects may occur when using ibuprofen (ingredient Ibalgin 200), ordered according to the frequency of occurrence: - Very often (possibility of occurrence in more than 1 patient in 10 treated patients): nausea, vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea , constipation and bloating.
- Often (possibility of occurrence in 1-10 patients out of 100 patients treated): pain in the epigastrium.
- Less often (possibility of occurrence in 1-10 patients out of 1000 treated patients): headache, dizziness.
- Rarely (possibility of occurring in 1-10 patients in 10,000 treated patients): inflammation of the stomach lining, gastric or duodenal ulcer, bleeding from the digestive tract (manifested as black stools due to digested blood or blood in the stool), perforation of the lining of the digestive tract, allergic reactions such as fever, skin rashes, liver damage, heart failure, swelling, sterile encephalitis, bronchoconstriction, inflammation of the pancreas, impaired vision and color perception, amblyopia and impairment of liver function.
- Very rare (possibility of occurrence in less than 1 patient in 10,000 treated patients): inflammation of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity accompanied by the formation of ulcers (ulcerative stomatitis), a new onset of inflammatory diseases with the formation of ulcers. on the mucous membrane of the digestive tract (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis), decrease in the number of blood cells or platelets, water and/or salt retention with swelling, insomnia, depression, emotional lability, palpitations (palpitations of the heart perceived by the patient), decrease blood pressure, high blood pressure, inflammation of the urinary bladder, presence of blood in the urine, impaired kidney function, inflammation of the kidneys, nephrotic syndrome (a set of symptoms in kidney disease) and blistering skin reactions.
Warning
Medicine without medical prescription . Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not use Ibalgin 200 after the expiry date written on the packaging. The expiration date refers to the last day of the specified month. Store at a temperature up to 25 °C and in the original packaging to protect the medicine from light and moisture. Medicines should not be thrown into the sewer or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer need. These measures help protect the environment.
