It is used for the qualitative testing of luteinizing hormone (LH) in the urine, thanks to which it allows the detection of the moment of ovulation, helping to determine the fertile days, so important when trying to conceive. How does an ovulation test work?

The hormone LH is produced by the anterior pituitary gland and its level changes during the menstrual cycle. Under the influence of this hormone, mechanisms are activated in the body that cause the rupture of the follicle and the release of the egg, which, after fertilization, will develop into pregnancy. The level of the hormone LH is the highest just before ovulation, and its maximum concentration occurs approximately 24-36 hours before ovulation. Therefore, the test allows you to determine when the probability of getting pregnant is the highest.

An ovulation test is called a fertility test because it allows you to determine when a woman is most fertile. It is primarily intended for couples who have problems conceiving, as it allows the exact determination of the date of ovulation and sexual intercourse before the moment of ovulation, which increases the probability of getting pregnant.

The HorienMedical™ Ovulation Test is intended for home use, but can also be used by professional users. It detects the LH hormone at a concentration of 25 mlU/ml and above. It is very simple and quick to do. Simply dip the test strip vertically into a fresh urine sample and read the result after 10 minutes. The result obtained is very accurate - its laboratory reliability is over 99%.
