Dosage

Adults, including elderly patients and children aged 12 years and over: 10-20 ml up to 4 times a day.

The medicine should not be used for a long time. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days, the patient's clinical status should be reevaluated.

Mode of use

The oral suspension is taken after meals and at bedtime. Before taking each dose, the contents of the bottle should be shaken well. The measuring cup, which is part of the medication package, is used to measure the exact dose.

Warning

The drug can be used during pregnancy if clinically necessary. It is recommended to shorten the duration of treatment as much as possible. The medicine can be used during breastfeeding. Children under 12 years of age can use the medicine only on the basis of the doctor's recommendation. The drug should not be used in patients with severe renal impairment/renal insufficiency. The medicine should not be taken within 2 hours of taking other medicines orally (by mouth), as this may affect their effect. In patients with very low levels of gastric acid, there is a possibility that the effectiveness of the treatment will be reduced. Each 10 ml dose contains 127.25 mg (5.53 mmol) sodium, which should be considered in a diet with a strictly limited salt intake. Each 10 ml dose contains 130 mg (3.25 mmol) of calcium, so caution should be exercised when treating patients with hypercalcemia, nephrocalcinosis, and recurrent calcium-containing kidney stones. The medicine contains methylparaben (E218) and propylparaben (E216), which can cause allergic reactions (also delayed). Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Do not store in the refrigerator or freezer. Use within 6 months of opening. Additional special warnings are given in the SmPC (section 4.4).
