Description
Flavamed is a drug belonging to the group of anti-cough and anti-cold drugs used in the treatment of wet cough, during which phlegm is expectorated. The drug has a dilution effect and is intended for use in diseases of the lower respiratory tract - acute and chronic diseases of the lungs and bronchi. Flavamed dilutes thick secretions and makes it easier to expectorate. Standard treatment lasts 4-5 days.
The active substance of the drug is ambroxol derived from the Indian shrub Adhatoda vasica. Its effect is visible approximately 30 minutes after taking the dose.
