Etrixenal gel, 100 mg/g, 55 g, Walmark
Indications:
Etrixenal is a medicine in the form of a gel. The medicine contains the active substance - naproxen - in an amount of 100 mg/g, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
The medicine is a gel applied locally on the skin, with an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. As a result of the application, pain and swelling are reduced and physical disability is overcome.
Etrixenal is used for the local treatment of acute pain caused by tendon and ligament injuries.
The medicine is intended for short-term use.
Contraindications:
Do not use Etrixenal:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to naproxen or any of the other components of this medicine.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
The drug should not be used during pregnancy, unless the treatment is recommended and supervised by a doctor.
Etrixenal is contraindicated in the last three months of pregnancy.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
There are no data on adverse effects on the ability to drive and use machines after topical application of naproxen to the skin.
Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
If the doctor does not recommend otherwise, the medicine should be administered as follows: apply the medicine to the skin, in an amount adjusted to the size of the lesion surface (usually gel strips 4 cm long), spread the gel over the affected area and massage gently, until complete absorption.
The medicine must be applied 2-6 times a day, at intervals of several hours.
Hands must be washed after applying the medicine, unless the treated area is at the level of the hands.

- The other components are: chloral hydrate, levomenthol, ethanol 96%, ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 214), sodium hydroxide, carbomer, purified water.
