Indications for the use of Clotidal cream
Clotidal is a vaginal cream used mainly in women to treat vulvovaginitis, but it can also be used in men for infection of the glans penis. Treatment of vaginal mycosis is effective provided that the woman and her partner are also treated.
Mycosis of the external genitalia (thrush) can be caused by microorganisms such as Candida fungi (yeasts), which are sensitive to clotrimazole. The characteristic symptoms of a fungal infection include:
- itching in and around the vagina,
- pain and burning, aggravated by rubbing and scratching, as well as tissue irritation, e.g.
- vaginal discharge, i.e. white, odorless vaginal discharge.
Symptoms usually worsen before menstruation. In turn, infection of the glans (crown of the penis) with yeast in a sexual partner can cause pain and redness of the penis, as well as tension of the foreskin.
Clotidal 10 mg/g cream for topical lubrication effectively supports the treatment of vaginal mycosis and the symptoms of penile glans infection. Clotidal cream is indicated for patients over 16 years of age.
The medicine is inserted into a tube with 6 special vaginal applicators that facilitate the precise application of the cream.
