Indications :
Bioflu Hot Drink Max is part of the group of drugs called analgesics - antipyretics.
Bioflu Hot Drink Max is a medicine against cold and flu, which contains three active substances:
- paracetamol which relieves pain and reduces temperature when you have a fever;
- chlorphenamine maleate which reduces nasal congestion, watery eyes, often associated with pain and temperature and acts on phenomena such as sneezing;
- vitamin C (ascorbic acid) that helps you replace vitamin C that can be lost in the first stages of colds and flu, as well as increasing the body's natural defense capacity, contributing to faster recovery of the body.
Bioflu Hot Drink Max is a remedy used for the short-term symptomatic relief of flu, fever, chills and common colds, including headache, sore throat, discomfort and pain, nasal congestion, sinusitis, and nasal pain and runny nose acute, associated with it.

The medicine is intended for use by adults and adolescents over 15 years of age.
Treatment with antibiotics may be necessary in case of bacterial infections.

Contraindications:
Do not use Bioflu Hot Drink Max if:
- you are allergic (hypersensitivity) to paracetamol, phenacetin or other anti-inflammatories, pheniramine or other antihistamines or to any of the components of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Bioflu Hot Drink Max, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Due to the absence of animal and human studies, the risk is unknown. Consequently, as a precautionary measure, this medicine should not be administered during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
Due to the side effects it has (for example: drowsiness, sedation, confusional state, dizziness, visual accommodation disorders, etc.), the product may influence the ability to drive vehicles or use machines.

Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

Adults and adolescents (over 15 years of age):
Dosage
The usual dose is one sachet of Bioflu Hot Drink Max (contains 1 g of paracetamol and the components stated in point 6) every 4 to 6 hours, as needed to relieve symptoms, without exceeding a maximum dose of 4 sachets Bioflu Hot Drink Max in 24 hours.

Administration method:
For oral administration.
The contents of a Bioflu Hot Drink Max sachet are dissolved in a cup of warm water (approximately 200 ml). Mix well until you get a lemon-flavored drink and drink it while it's hot, within 30 minutes of preparation.
Do not dissolve or administer more than one sachet at a time (as a single dose).

For the treatment of flu conditions, it is preferable to take this medicine with warm water, in the evening, from the moment the first symptoms appear.

Duration of treatment:
Bioflu Hot Drink Max should not be used for more than 5 days without a doctor's recommendation.

Children (under the age of 15):
Bioflu Hot Drink Max is not recommended for children under 15 years of age.

Elderly patients:
No dose adjustment is necessary in elderly patients.

Patients with chronic alcoholism:
Chronic alcohol consumption can increase the risk of paracetamol toxicity. The duration between the administration of two doses must be at least 8 hours. Do not exceed the dose of 2 g of paracetamol per day.

Patients with impaired kidney function or liver function:
In patients with impaired kidney or liver function or Gilbert's syndrome, the dose should be reduced or the interval between doses should be extended. In patients with severely impaired kidney function, the interval between doses should be at least 8 hours. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if the condition continues even after 5 days of treatment.
Your doctor will inform you how long the treatment with Bioflu Hot Drink Max will last.
If you have the impression that the effect produced by Bioflu Hot Drink Max is too strong or too weak, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition:
- The active substances are: paracetamol, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and chlorphenamine maleate.
Each sachet of granules for oral suspension contains paracetamol 1000 mg, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 200 mg and chlorphenamine maleate 4 mg.
- The other components are: sugar, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, aspartame (E 951), sodium cyclamate (E 952), sodium saccharin (E 954), lemon flavor type 610052 H (corn maltodextrin, corn starch modified, butylhydroxyanisole (E 320), natural flavoring substances)
