Alerityn, 10 mg, 10 tablets, Biofarm

Indications:
Alerityn belongs to a class of medicines known as antihistamines.
Antihistamines help reduce allergy symptoms by preventing the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced in our body.
Alerityn relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (for example: hay fever), such as: sneezing, runny or itchy nose, stinging or itchy eyes.
Alerityn can also be used to reduce the symptoms of hives (itching, redness, and the number and size of rashes on the skin).
The improvement of these manifestations is maintained for the entire period of the day and helps you resume your usual daily activities and sleep.

Contraindications:
Do not use Alerityn:
- if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Alerityn, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is not recommended to take Alerityn.
Loratadine is excreted in breast milk

Driving vehicles and using machines:
At the recommended dose, Alerityn is not likely to cause drowsiness or decreased reaction time.
However, very rarely, some people may experience drowsiness, which could affect their ability to drive or use machines.

Mode of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The tablets are taken with a glass of water, regardless of the time of meals.

Adults and children over 12 years of age: take 1 Alerityn tablet once a day.

For children aged between 2-12 years: the dosage is based on body weight:
- body weight over 30 kg: 1 Alerityn tablet once a day.
- body weight less than 30 kg: Alerityn 10 mg tablets are not recommended.

The tablet pharmaceutical form is not recommended for children aged between 2 and 6 years due to the risk of suffocation. There are suitable pharmaceutical forms for this age.

Children under 2 years of age:
Loratadine, the active substance in this medicine, is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.

Patients with severe liver disease:
Adults and children with a body weight of more than 30 kg:
Take one tablet once every two (2) days with a glass of water, with or without food. However, you should talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking this medicine.
Elderly patients or those with impaired renal function do not require dose reduction.

Composition:
- The active substance is loratadine. One tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine.
- The other components are: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, povidone K 30, talc, magnesium stearate.
