Description
Acatar Care Kids is a medicine in the form of a nasal spray for use in children aged 1 to 6 years. The medicine contains the active substance: oxymetazoline hydrochloride, which works by narrowing blood vessels. The excipient of the preparation is hyaluronic acid in the form of sodium salt, which simultaneously protects and hydrates the nasal mucosa.
The indication for the use of Acatar Care Kids nasal spray is swelling of the mucous membranes that occurs in acute rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, inflammation of the Eustachian tube and in the course of otitis media.
How does Acatar Care Kids work?
Giving a child Acatar Care Kids reduces the swelling of the inflamed mucosa and at the same time inhibits excessive mucus secretion, which facilitates free breathing through the nose. At the same time, the reduction of nasal congestion allows the opening and expansion of the efferent channels of the paranasal sinuses and unblocks the Eustachian tubes. This facilitates the removal of residual secretions and thus the treatment of the bacterial infection. The effect of oxymetazoline occurs within minutes after administration and lasts up to 12 hours.
